Ohio Beaders are craftspeople from Ohio who get together to discuss all aspects of jewelry arts. We have several gatherings and a weekend retreat each year. Our members range from to newbies and bead shop owners to advanced beaders, metal and wire workers. Members support each other with encouragement and by exchanging ideas and information, inspire one another by posting pictures of our work and links to the work of others, and stretch the limits of our creativity with challenges.

September 2011 Clasp Challenge
For this challenge no part of the closure could be pre-made. This meant that any hooks, buttons or other closing mechanisms had to be designed and constructed by the maker - not a piece of cake! In addition, this challenge was judged - a first. Employees of Artbeads judged the entries and Artbeads provided a prize for the lucky winner whose design was chosen for its originality and unique creative spirit.
And the WINNER is... Diana Schmidt!
